One agency from first sketch to year five
Web agency Cavan for design, build and the work after launch
Ceol Digital is a web agency in Cavan that takes a site from the first conversation into the years that follow launch. Design, build, hosting, updates, content and search sit under one arrangement, so you are not passing problems between a designer, a developer and a marketing firm. We have been trading since 2006, and the model has not changed much, because it works. The arrangement can be as large or as small as you need it to be.
- One monthly arrangement
- Hosting, updates and backups
- Search and content in the same place

The usual arrangement is a build followed by silence. A site launches, the invoice clears, and six months later nobody can remember who holds the login or why the homepage has stopped loading properly. The alternative is to treat the site as something alive: hosted, watched and improved on a monthly rhythm. That is what we sell when we sell an ongoing relationship, and it is the part most businesses underestimate when they buy a new website. Silence after launch is not a service, it is an absence of one.
What a web agency actually handles
A website touches more trades than most people expect. Design, copy, front end code, hosting, security, search, analytics and the content that keeps a site from going stale. Few businesses have all of that in house, and fewer still want to manage four suppliers who each blame another when something breaks. A web agency is the single point where those jobs meet. We decide what the site needs, do the work, and stay the one number to call when something has to change. That is the whole argument for a single agency, and it is the only one we would make for it. The point is not to sell you everything we do, it is to make sure nothing is left unowned.
The work divides into four areas, and the arrangement can be a one off build or a continuing one:
Design and build together
The site itself: structure, layout, code and the launch checklist that gets it live in a state worth building on.
Hosting and upkeep
Servers, backups, updates and security checks, monitored so a plugin fault is caught before a customer discovers it. You are told what was changed and when, without having to ask.
Search and content
Technical search work, ongoing articles and the small changes that keep a site earning traffic rather than merely existing.
Reporting and roadmap
A monthly look at what the site did and what it needs next. The report is short by design and written for people who do not enjoy reading reports.
Not every client buys the whole arrangement. Plenty take website design and the build, then run hosting and updates themselves. We will tell you which parts you genuinely need and which you can leave, and anything you want to keep elsewhere, you keep elsewhere.

The month after launch is the one that counts
Launch day takes the attention and the month afterwards gets forgotten, which is backwards. That is when the first real visitors arrive, when a form turns out to be sending its mail into a spam folder, when a broken link is found by a customer rather than a tester, and when the first new content needs adding. Having the firm that built the site still on hand for those weeks saves a fortnight of emails between suppliers. It is also when the first real data arrives and the site can start being improved on evidence. None of it is dramatic, and all of it is cheaper to catch in week two than in month six.
The ongoing arrangement is deliberately plain. A monthly fee covers hosting, updates, backups and a pool of changes, with a short report on what happened and what we suggest doing next. There is no annual lock in, and the arrangement can be paused or ended at short notice. If you only want the build and nothing more, that is a perfectly good answer, and we will say so rather than dressing up a care plan as something you cannot do without. If a care plan stops paying for itself, we will tell you to cancel it. The first month after launch is included in every build we do, whether or not you take the plan on afterwards.
Changes from a monthly pool
How the working relationship runs
Whether you buy a build or a continuing arrangement, the shape of the work is the same and each stage leaves something behind at the end of it. Nothing is done without a record of what was asked for and when. The same five stages apply whether you have bought a single page or a full site.
Scope and agree
What the site needs, who does what and what it will cost, written down before any work starts.
Design and build together
Structure, layout and code, reviewed with you at each stage rather than revealed at the end.
Launch properly
Content in, forms tested, analytics live, redirects in place and the site handed over with training. The launch list is checked twice, by us and then with you.
Settle the site in
The first month watched closely: speed, forms, search console and the small faults that only appear once real visitors arrive.
Improve on a rhythm
Monthly hosting, updates, content and reporting, with the roadmap reviewed against what the site actually did.
Web agency questions
What is the difference between a web agency and a web developer?
A developer writes code, and a good one is essential. An agency takes responsibility for the whole outcome: the design, the build, the hosting, the content and the search, and answers the phone when any of it goes wrong. Some firms need only one of those two things, and we will say so if that is the case for you.
We already have a developer. Can you still help?
Yes, in whichever parts you need. Some clients keep their developer for bespoke systems and use us for hosting, search and content. The work is defined by what is missing rather than by what a package happens to include, so there is no pressure to take the lot.
How is the monthly arrangement priced?
By the size of the site and the amount of change you expect. A small brochure site costs less than a store with a large catalogue. The fee covers hosting, updates, backups and a pool of changes, and it gets reviewed each year against what the site actually needed.
Do we have to buy the whole service?
No. The build can be bought on its own, and hosting or upkeep can stay with somebody else if you prefer that. We will be plain about which parts add value in your situation and which ones you can handle in house.
What happens if we leave?
You take the site with you. Hosting, files and the domain sit in your name, and we hand over the documentation as well as the code. A monthly arrangement should be worth keeping on its merits rather than something you feel trapped in.
Where a full service agency fits
A good fit
This model suits an owner who does not want to manage suppliers. If you would rather make one call when the site breaks, the ranking slips or a page needs writing, a single agency is simpler to live with. It also suits a business that will keep changing its site, because the build and the upkeep then come from the same people who know how it was put together in the first place. One call, one invoice, and no argument about whose fault a broken form is. If that sounds like a lot of oversight, it is usually less of it than managing three separate suppliers.
Look elsewhere
If the only thing missing is the design and the build, the website design agency sets out how that engagement works. Where the focus is growing the business rather than running the site, a digital marketing agency is the better conversation, and where search is the specific problem, the SEO agency covers that ground. A web developer remains the right call for code that needs writing and maintaining on its own. If your needs are narrower than a full arrangement, a narrower service is the honest recommendation.
